  • Remarkable work in the literary scenery of the beginning of the XVII century, Rime marittime represent a characteristic trial of Giovan Battista Marino’s poetic activity. Original is the intertwining of the passionate theme, joined to the unhappy love of fisherman Fileno for the nymph Lilla, and the lyrical correspondences of the natural universe.
