El día 24 de noviembre de 2017 se produjo un atentado terrorista en la ciudad de Bir El- Abd, en el norte de la península del Sinaí y que dejó al menos 311 personas muertas y 128 heridas, incluyendo 27 niños. 30 terroristas masacraron a los fieles que salían de la mezquita de Al-Rawda tras el rezo del mediodía del viernes.
La crueldad es extrema, pero no menos sorprendente es la frialdad con que ha sido tratado por los medios de comunicación, los mismos que dedicaron ríos de tinta a ciertos atentados en Estados Unidos o en Europa que dejaron apenas una decena de víctimas.
Los dobles estándares son evidentes. En cualquier caso se hace necesario realizar un análisis de las causas, justificaciones, estrategias o apoyos, que han permitido la ejecución de un atentado complejo en medio de una operación contraterrorista del Ejército egipcio.

The double standards are evident. In any case, it is necessary to carry out an analysis of the causes, justifications, strategies or support, which have allowed the execution of a complex attack in the middle of a counter-terrorist operation of the Egyptian Army.
