Utilización del sistema de impermeabilización de cubiertas de enrajonado y soladura en el municipio de Matanzas.

    Para todo tipo de edificación, la impermeabilización es un medio protector contra las agresiones del agua del medio ambiente y, por lo tanto, un freno al envejecimiento, a la destrucción de sus elementos portantes y a la tan incómoda filtración. Buscando soluciones de materiales flexibles y ligeros se comenzó la utilización a gran escala en nuestra provincia y en el país, de los sistemas de impermeabilización a base de productos asfálticos, el sistema de mantas asfálticas de producción nacional, como es el caso de Lamisfal y Lamisfal ALU y de importación, desechándose entonces la utilización del sistema de enrajonado y soladura, único sistema de características rígidas, el cual fue empleado en todas las construcciones de viviendas y de uso social durante el siglo pasado y más aún en el siglo XIX. Retomar este último sistema por las ventajas en cuanto a durabilidad, economía, mantenimientos y confort, a través de un procedimiento de evaluación, teniendo en cuenta los actuales cambios climáticos y que cumpla con las exigencias de explotación en las cubiertas de las edificaciones existentes, es el objetivo de este trabajo.

    For all types of construction, waterproofing systems are a protective mean against the aggressions of the water, environment phenomena and, therefore, an obstacle to aging, the destruction of their supporting elements and filtration. Seeking solutions with flexible and lightweight materials for large scale use, began domestic producing in our province -and in the country- of waterproofing systems based on asphalt products, and the system of asphalt tarpaulin. So are the cases Lamisfal and Lamisfal ALU and some imported ones, discarding the use of the riprap and paving system –only rigid system type-; which was used in all using and public buildings during the last century and even before in the nineteenth century.

    Retaking the latter system for its advantages in durability, economy, maintenance and comfort through an assessment process, considering the current climate changes and meeting the requirements of operating on the roofs of existing buildings, is the goal of this paper.
