Resumen de Algunas consideraciones sobre los vínculos políticos de Septimio Severo

En el presente trabajo analizaremos la carrera política de Lucio Septimio Severo, el cual gobernó el Imperio Romano entre el año 193 y el 211 d.C., con el fin de entenderla en el contexto de un imperio en el cual convivían las más diversas culturas, que al mismo tiempo compartían un sustrato cultural común. Al mismo tiempo trataremos la figura de Publio Helvio Pértinax, el cual patrocinó al joven Severo, así como la de otras figuras de la política romana vinculadas al emperador africano, tales como Julio Avito Alexiano o Tiberio Claudio Cándido entre otros.

In this paper, we will try to make an approach to the figure and the political career of Lucius Septimius Severus, who ruled the Roman Empire between 193 and 211 A.D., in order to understand it in the context of an empire in which the most diverse cultures coexisted. At the same time shared a common cultural background. We will also address the relations of the emperor with the figure of Publius Helvius Pértinax, who sponsored the young Severus, as well as other figures of Roman politics linked to the African emperor, such as Julius Avitus Alexianus or Tiberius Claudius Candidus among others.
