Resumen de CFD Analysis of Flow Noise at Tees at Natural Gas Station

Changjun Li, Shikui Yan, Dandan Wen, Qian Huang, Ye Lin

  • Tees, the essential components of the piping system, and the research of the internal flow noise have become a serious problem that managers pay more attention to. Through 3D solid models of tees, the flow noise is analyzed by ANSYS Fluent: based on the analysis of field and sound field of different inlet and outlet pipeline combinations, vortex-induced noise is the mainly noise generates in tees. With the pressure signal receivers set in tees, the sound pressure level (SPL) in the frequency domain has been analyzed. It shows that the noise in tees is a kind of low-frequency noise, mainly distributes in 0-200 Hz; through the calculation of the flow noise at different flow rates, a logarithmic increase trend between SPL and flow rate has been found. Numerical results provide theoretical evidence for control and reduction of flow noise in tees at natural gas stations.
