  This study was carried out in a TEIP School, located in a rural village in the district of Portalegre, with autonomy contract since the academic year 2010/2011, and with a strong presence of the gypsy community. This work fo-cused on the theme of InterculturalEducation and had as objective: to know the representations and opinions that the students of the 2nd and 3rd cycle of Basic Education, had on their school, on teachers, employees, colleagues, and their class, and also to verify if there were differences between these representations and opinions according to the cycle of schooling, of the sex and of the ethnic group.

  O estudo efetuado realizou-se numa Escola TEIP, situada numa vila rural do distrito de Portalegre, com contrato de autonomia desde o ano letivo 2010/2011, e com forte presença da comunidade cigana. Este trabalho incidiu sobre o tema da Educação Intercultural e teve como objetivo: conhecer as representações e opiniões que os alunos do 2º e 3º ciclo do Ensino Básico, tinham sobre a sua escola, os professores, funcionários, colegas, e sua turma, e ainda verificar se existiam diferenças entre essas representações e opiniões em função do ciclo de escolaridade, do sexo e da etnia.
