This paper studies four different treatments of Latin language as a poetic resource in each of these poets in the twentieth century: Jorge Luis Borges with his poem "A un lector", Gerardo Diego in "Púnica Dido", "Noticiario de un colegial melancólico" by Rafael Alberti and, finally, "Bollycao boy" by Juan Antonio González Iglesias. In these poems, we will see how Latin language in his linguistic side (phonemes, conjugations, declinations) is used by these authors in order to pronounce a "recusatio" of philological scholarship, make alliterations with the enunciation of a Latin verb, recite a king of Spanish declination with the word "nieve", jor expressing the attraction of a Latin teacher for his own student, when he hears him reciting the first declination
