    Estos 3 cuerpos de ejército integrados por elementos astures, mayoritariamente soldados de infantería aunque combinados en ocasiones con otros de caballería, parecen coincidir en cuanto a su reclutamiento con los años finales de Augusto o los iniciales de Tiberio, siendo los campamentos de las legiones X Gemina y VI Victrix sus lugares de instrucción.

    A pesar de que su historia militar aparece mucho mejor reseñada en el siglo II, tras su adiestramiento se desplazarían al limes germánico antes de acampar em el Norte de África, donde transcurriría la mayor parte de su existencia salvo alguna dislocación temporal a las provincias de Centroeuropa.

    Sus cuarteles en territorio norteafricano se relacionarían con la ciudad de Volubilis y sus alrededores, donde pudieron coincidir algunas de ellas a un mismo tiempo.

    La desaparición de las mismas, ya sin ningún miembro astur entre sus integrantes, tendría lugar en los momentos finales del siglo III o en los iniciales del siguiente en el entorno de Mauritania Tingitana, donde habían prestado servicio

    These three military units, chiefly made up of Asturian infantrymen combined on occasions with cavalrymen, seem to have been recruited either in the last years of Augustus or in the early ones of Tiberius. They received basic training at the military camps of legions X Gemina and VI Victrix.

    Their military record is well attested in the course of the 2nd century. Yet, after their early training they were deployed along the German limes before being reallocated in Northern Africa, where they would spend most of the time exception made of a few sojourns in the Roman provinces of Central Europe.

    Their military camps on Northern Africa are to be linked with the town of Volubilis, where some of them may have coincided at some definite point.

    Their disbandment took place either in the final years of the 3rd century or early in the 4th, no Asturian men being found then in their ranks, after having served in the area of Mauritania Tingitana.
