    Los nombramientos de eclesiásticos en la Vicaría foránea de Tucumán durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX aportan una plataforma desde la cuál es posible estudiar tanto el rol desempeñado por cada uno de los actores involucrados -jerarquías eclesiásticas y civiles-, así como también las vinculaciones entre ellos y las concepciones eclesiológicas subyacentes. A partir de esa problemática se propone dilucidar cuál era el peso relativo de las autoridades eclesiásticas y civiles ante el nombramiento de párrocos y cuáles las formas de proceder de ambas autoridades.

    The ecclesiastical designations in the foreign Vicariate of Tucuman during the second half of the nineteenth century provide a platform from which we can study the role played by each of the actors involved –lay and ecclesiastical hierarchies- as well as the linkages between them and the underlying ecclesiological conceptions. Th is analysis is aimed at trying to fi gure out what the relative strength of ecclesiastical and civil authorities was regarding the nomination of parish priests and the ways of proceeding by both authorities.
