    El suelo, el agua, la vegetación y el paisaje, componentes básicos de la naturaleza, son recursos vitales y en gran parte no renovables que están sometidos a una presión humana cada vez mayor. Para que puedan desempeñar sus numerosas funciones, es necesario mantenerlos en buen estado y hacer de ellos una gestión y uso durables, y para ello, se precisa conocer las complejas y dinámicas relaciones que registran, en el marco del sistema naturaleza. La Geografía Física, como ciencia ambiental, socialmente útil, puede y debe contribuir al conocimiento de la funcionalidad y valores de la naturaleza y sus recursos, y a la relación de los humanos con ella.

    Physical Geography and conservation of the Nature. The soil, the water, the vegetation and the landscape, basic components of the nature, are nonrenewable vital resources and to a large extent under a human pressure every greater time. So that they can perform his numerous functions, it is necessary to maintain them in good state and to make of them a durable management and use, and for it, one needs to know the complex and dynamic relations that register, within the framework the system nature. Physical Geography, as environmental science, socially useful, can and must contribute to the knowledge of the functionality and values of the nature and their resources, and to the relation of the humans with her.
