    • The article focuses on the aesthetics of the poems of poet and historian Catallus and the scholarly works of theologian Theodore Beza. Topics discussed include the contribution of Catullus to the Renaissance literature, the characteristics of Neo-Latin poets, the Lesbia poems, and the association of these poems with the theories of Beza.
