Resumen de Implementación del curso de Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad (CTS) en el Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas (UPEL)

  Este trabajo es un resumen cronológico sobre los antecedentes que llevaron al diseño e implementación del curso Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad para estudiantes de Biología y Química del Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas. El curso se ofrece como un taller con herramientas y estrategias para la enseñanza de los contenidos en biología y química.

  Igualmente se presenta el estado de la asignatura en la actualidad y los resultados de la aplicación de una encuesta hecha a los estudiantes acerca del curso. Estos resultados muestran una total aceptación por el mismo, aunque igualmente, se hicieron algunos señalamientos que de corregirse, implicarían mejoras para el curso. La autora de esta investigación ha ido incorporando tales señalamientos para llegar a la versión actual de la asignatura.

  This work is a chronological summary of the background that led to the design and implementation of the course Science, Technology and Society for Biology and Chemistry students of the Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas.

  The course is offered as a workshop with tools, strategies for teaching content in biology and chemistry. It also presents the status of the subject at present and the results of the application of a survey of students about the course. These results show a complete acceptance by it, but equally, there were some signs that corrected, would involve improvements to the course. The author of this research has incorporated such signs to get to the current version of the course.
