    Como a Lingüística, por tradição, acostumou-se a partir de pressupostos comoo da situação teórica ideal, da ficção de homogeneidade e do postulado teóricodo isomorfismo, os equívocos têm sido considerados como um fora da língua,pois, conforme se tem entendido, representam o que não seria possível a umsistema formal certo, consistente e previsível. No entanto, o que buscamosdiscutir neste texto é a possibilidade de tratá-los como efeitos dos dois eixos deque fala Saussure: o da combinação e o da substituição, os quais possibilitamincessante e imprevisível produtividade.

    Since it is a tradition in Linguistics to follow tenents such as the ideal theoricalsituation; the fictitious homogenity; and the theoretical postulate of isomorfism;mistakes have constantly been considered as something out of the language.And as for how they have been understood they represent somethig that is notpossible to be found in a correct, consistent and predictable formal system.Nevertheless, the discussion this text proposes is the possibility of treatingthese mistakes as the efects of the two axes mentioned by Saussure: thecombination and the substitution, which can present endeless and unpredictableproductions.
