This essay aims to disclose the presence of the thread theme in the poetry of Yêda Schmaltz, namely in the poems belonging to "Penelope's Book", the fírst section of A alquimia dos nós. The thread is one of the nuclear themes found in Greek mythology and its presence in literature often goes along with a feminine and/or feminist insight. This also proves to be true in the works of Yêda Schmaltz.

Este trabalho visa a revelar a presença do tema do fio nos poemas de Yêda Schmaltz, especialmente nos que pertencem ao "Livro de Penélope", primeira parte de A alquimia dos nós. O fio é um dos temas nucleares da mitologia grega e sua presença em literatura geralmente acompanha uma visão feminina e/ou feminista. Isto também se verifica na obra poética de Yêda Schmaltz.
