Definindo a ortografia: uma ação de fortalecimento da língua Chiquitano

    In this article, we have presented discussions and reflections on the definition of an experimental orthography for the Chiquitano language in Brazil. These discussions had as guidelines the mediation between the technical criteria for uniqueness,  notation  of  sounds,  ease  of  learning and  also  contextual issues such  as  the  teaching  of  a  second  language  and  linguistic  similarities  with the  varieties  of  the  Chiquitano  language  in  Bolivia.  They  have  shown,  in particular, how these activities encouraged and served as basis for actions for the appreciation and strengthening of the Chiquitano language.

    Neste artigo, apresentam-se discussões e reflexões sobre a definição de uma ortografia experimental para a língua Chiquitano no Brasil. Os encaminhamentos para a definição da ortografia tiveram como eixo norteador a mediação entre os critérios técnicos de unicidade, da notação de sons, de utilização, de facilidade de aprendizagem e também de questões contextuais como ensino de segunda língua  e  similaridades  linguísticas  com  as  variedades  da  língua  Chiquitano na  Bolívia.  Demonstra-se,  em  especial,  como  essas  atividades  fomentaram as ações de valorização e fortalecimento da língua Chiquitano e como foram inseridas em tais ações.
