  La tesis de fondo es esta: las fuentes del derecho son las cuatro causas metafísicas clásicas (material, formal, eficiente y final). El estudio comienza definiendo las principales nociones jurídicas y metafísicas (de fuente del derecho, de fons iuris essendi, de causa y sus clases, etc.). A partir de ahí se analizan las cuatro causas del derecho-cosa justa, del derecho-ley y del derecho subjetivo, en su orden. El análisis riguroso y sistemático nos permite ver cómo operan y dónde se encuadran las fuentes del derecho tradicionales (ley, costumbre, doctrina, etc.), además de descubrir otras nuevas, como las concepciones jurídicas

  The thesis is the following: the sources of law are the four classical metaphysical causes (material, formal, efficient and final). The paper begins by defining the main legal and metaphysical notions (source of law, “fons iuris essendi”[the production of source of law],cause and their classes, etc.). Thereafter, we analyze the four causes of “res iusta”, law and right, and subjective right, in that order. The rigorous and systematic analysis allows us to see how these operate and where fit the traditional sources of law (law, custom, doctrine, etc.), as well as discover new ones, such as “juridical conceptions”
