  El propósito de este artículo es ofrecer una interpretación ética y política de La lucha por el derecho de Rudolf von Jhering, definiéndola como una de las obras que mejor han sabido plantear las relaciones entre derecho, ética y política. Para ello se hará una reflexión inicial respecto a la política y el formalismo jurídico y, a continuación, se trazará un esbozo de algunas de las lecturas políticas que se han hecho sobre esta obra (las de Leopoldo Alas “Clarín”, Benedetto Croce y Diego Abad de Santillán). Por último, se propondrá una nueva interpretación política de La lucha por el derecho en clave republicana

  The aim of this article is to give a both ethical and political interpretation of Rudolf von Jhering’s The Struggle for Law, by defining it as one of the works which better achieved to describe the relationship among Law, Ethics and Politics. For that purpose we will make an initial reflection on the connection between politics and legal formalism and then we will make an outline of some political readings which have been historically proposed on this work (those of Leopoldo Alas “Clarín”, Benedetto Croce and Diego Abad de Santillán). Finally, we will suggest a new political interpretation of The Struggle for Law in a republican way
