Resumen de Variação diatópica na flexão verbal da 1.ª pessoa plural

O artigo aborda o tema da variação diatópica na primeira pessoa plural do presente ou pretérito perfeito simples do indicativo nos dialetos do português europeu. Concentrando-se principalmente no fenómeno da troca da vogal temática A por E, aponta para a sua interligação com outras alterações, especialmente o fenómeno do recuo do acento. Ao descrever a distribuição geográfica deste fenómeno e as possíveis explicações da sua origem, o texto tenta justificar que pode existir alguma motivação morfológica na coocorrência do fenómeno da troca e o do recuo do acento, pelo que não se tratará apenas de dois fenómenos fonéticos que aparecem na mesma localidade por mera coincidência.

The paper is dedicated to the diatopic variation of verbal flection occuring in the first person plural of present simple or past simple tense in European Portuguese. It concentrates mainly on the phenomenon of changing the thematic vowel of the inflectional morpheme A into E and the way it is interconnected with other alternations, especially the shift of the position of the accent from the thematic vowel to the preceding syllable. Giving a brief outline of its geographical distribution and the possible explanations of its occurrence, the paper tries to justify that there might be certain morphological motivation in coocurrrence of these phenomena and that they are therefore not mere phonetic alternations whose coocurrence in the same locality would be thoroughly accidental.
