Resumen de La paraula i les arts escèniques

  In general, the word, in the performing arts, is first written and later spoken. It emerges from an author and from a text, sometimes accompanied by paratexts and annotations, and has to be spoken/interpreted by actors. But, at the same time, we need to consider other factors that demonstrate that the word clearly exceeds what are its strictly linguistic limits so that it acquires another dimension. The actor, the director, the production team in general --the set, costume, lighting and sound designers, etc.-- can each exert their influence over the word, because they are able to add a series of components that the word in itself, written or spoken in a neutral context, does not have. Thus, the same text, in different productions, staged by different actors, directors and production teams, can acquire an almost unimaginable degree of diversification. And, if we take this idea to its extreme, even the same production will differ every day, in this case, essentially, because of the influence of the actors, the audience and the social context.

  En termes generals, la paraula, en les arts escèniques, primer és escrita i després és dita. Es parteix d’un autor i d’un text que ha de ser dit/interpretat pels actors, acompanyat a vegades d’acotacions i paratextos. Alhora, cal considerar altres factors que posen de manifest que la paraula supera clarament els límits estrictament lingüístics i adquireix una altra dimensió. L’actor, el director, l’equip artístic en general --escenògraf, figurinista, dissenyador d’il·luminació i de l’espai sonor, etc.-- poden exercir la seva influència sobre la paraula perquè hi poden sumar un seguit de components que la paraula per si mateixa, escrita o dita en un context neutre, no té. Així, un mateix text, en versions diferents, fetes per actors, directors i equip artístic diferents, es pot diversificar de maneres gairebé inimaginables. Fins i tot, i portat a l’extrem, un mateix muntatge resulta diferent cada dia, en aquest cas, principalment i sobretot, per la influència dels actors, del públic i del context social.
