Resumen de Els poemes laudatoris de Francesc Fontanella als liminars d'obres d'altres autors

El poeta i dramaturg barroc Francesc Fontanella (1622-1682/1683) va compondre tres poemes encomiàstics publicats als preliminars d’obres impreses d’altres autors. El nostre objectiu és analitzar les tres peces des de la perspectiva de la poesia laudatòria com a gènere, prenent com a fil conductor els trets formals i temàtics d’aquest tipus de composicions. També pretenem situar els poemes en el context de la cruïlla de 1640 i els anys immediatament posteriors, tot precisant-ne la datació. Veurem que, tot i partir dels convencionalismes del gènere, els poemes liminars fontanellans són una de les millors mostres de poesia laudatòria.

The poet and dramatist of the Baroque Francesc Fontanella (1622-1682/1683) wrote three eulogistic poems published in the preliminary pages of printed works by other authors. The aim of this article is to analyse the three pieces from the perspective of Laudatory poetry as a genre, taking as a unifying thread the thematic and stylistic characteristics of this type of composition. This study interprets the poems in the context of 1640 and the immediately following years, trying to specify when were they composed. We will see that, in spite of setting off from the conventions of the genre, the preliminary poems of Francesc Fontanella are some of the best examples of Laudatory poetry.
