    Una particularitat romànica del català és la creació dels pronoms febles reforçats a partir del segle XVII a València i del XVIII a Barcelona. A pesar que el sistema pronominal ha estat molt descrit i estudiat i les teories existents mostren el funcionament dels pronoms en el context concret on viuen, no s’ha explicat fins ara perquè han triomfat les formes reforçades.

    Nosaltres en fem una aportació a partir d’una rica documentació i una bona bibliografia posant en relació el naixement de l’article reforçat 'el' a mitjan XVI amb els pronoms reforçats 'el, es, em, et, ens, us', un segle després.

    A peculiarity found within the romance languages is given in Catalan. That is the emergence of reinforced weak pronoun forms since the 17th century in València and since the 18th century in Barcelona. Despite the fact that the pronoun system has been thoroughly studied and described, and that the current theories meticulously explain their mechanics within the linguistic context, the answer to why such reinforced pronoun forms predominate over others is not clear yet. In this article, a solid contribution is made from rich and large documentation as well as quality bibliography which relates the birth of the reinforced article 'el' during the 16th century and the reinforced pronouns 'el, es, em, et, ens, us', a century later.
