    Este texto coloca a educação como objeto central de preocupação do homem e também como alvo principal da abordagem filosófica e científica. Destaca que, no auge do positivismo, a abordagem científica tenta banir da educação toda a atitude filosófica. E é contra esses resquícios do positivismo que realça a necessidade de uma filosofia da educação na formação de docentes com a indagação final: Quem tem medo da Filosofia da Educação?

    This text places education as central object of man´s preocupation, as well as the main target of the philosophical and scientific approach. It highlights the situation at the peak of positvism when the scientific approach attempts to banish education from all philosophical attitude. And it is considering these positivistic leftovers that we emphasize the need for the presence of a philosophy of education in the formation of educators with the final inquiry: Who is agraid of the Philosophy of Education?
