    El artículo ofrece una presentación de la Instrucción Musicam sacram de 1967. En primer lugar, se examinan sus antecedentes inmediatos, es decir, los primeros cambios en la liturgia durante y después del Vaticano II. En segundo lugar, se ofrece una visión general del propio documento, con una referencia a los cambios litúrgicos iniciales. En tercer lugar, se repasa la situación de la reforma litúrgica cuando Musicam sacram fue promulgada. Y, finalmente, se describe la evolución posterior de la renovación litúrgica respecto a la música.

    This article offers a presentation of the Instruction Musicam sacram (1967). First of all, the author examines its immediate precedents, i.e., the first changes in liturgy during and after Vatican II. Secondly, the author offers an overview of the document, with a reference to the initial liturgical changes.

    Thirdly, he reviews the situation of the liturgical renewal when Musicam sacram was issued.

    Finally, the author describes the later evolution of the liturgical renewal with regard to the music.
