  A partir de una revisión bibliográfica, se expone el estado actual de la logística y la distribuciónfísica internacional de Risaralda y Colombia. El crecimiento de las empresas depende de los avances en logística internacional del país y la región, de las tendencias del comercio exterior y de las oportunidades de las organizaciones, generadas por la estrategia “Risaralda, región logística”. En las conclusiones, se explican los atributos que constituyen los rasgos distintivos de la región y por qué el Eje cafetero es considerado el eje logístico de Colombia.

  This paper is contextualized, based on a bibliographical review, the state of logistics and the international physical distribution of Risaralda and Colombia. It describes the current state of the needs in the country, together with the tendencies of foreign trade, whose growth depends on the advances in international logistics of the country and the region, the opportunities of the organizations that will have to future the companies, based on the strategy of Risaralda logistic region and finally explain the attributes that constitute the distinctive features of the region and why the coffee axis is considered the logistic axis of Colombia.
