  Una de las consecuencias de la evolución de la práctica deportiva ha sido el incremento de usuarios de los grandes centros deportivos privados. El aumento de estos centros ha provocado que se establezcan nuevas iniciativas para mejorar la competitividad. Al principio se produjeron mejoras en las instalaciones, oferta de actividades y bajada de precios. En los últimos años se ha identificado como un aspecto clave para la mejora de la calidad del servicio las políticas de personal. Los usuarios buscan una atención personalizada y profesional y los centros deportivos estudian fórmulas para mejorar la motivación y formación de su personal. Debemos estudiar qué perfil tienen los gestores deportivos de dichas empresas para desarrollar y aplicar medidas de gestión de recursos humanos. Existen estudios que analizan el perfil del gestor deportivo en centros municipales, pero hay escasos estudios que analicen en profundidad el perfil del gestor deportivo en centros privados.

  The consequences of the evolution of the sport practice has been the increase of users of the private sports centers. The increase in these centers has led to the establishment of new initiatives to improve competitiveness. At the beginning there were improvements in facilities, offer of activities and lower prices. Reciently, personal policies have been identified as a key aspect of improving the quality of service. The users are increasingly experienced and demanding and they want personalized and professional attention, and sports centers study how to improve the motivation and training their staff. We must estudied what profile the sports managers of these companies have in order to develop and implement human resources management measures. There have been several studies that analyze the profile of the sports manager in municipal centers, but there are few studies that analyze in depth the profile of the sports manager in private centers.
