    “Este resumen trata de abrir una línea de investigación sobre mis vivencias en el barrio donde vivo, Arganzuela. Los procesos participativos ciudadanos que han surgido últimamente como nuevas formas de generación de ciudad y como respuesta ante un proceso claro de gentrificacion dentro de este barrio. Este ha sido el barrio de mi familia desde que vinieron mis abuelos a trabajar en los años 50 con la Renfe, siendo mi madre muy joven. Las historias familiares han sido muy vívidas con respecto a como desarrollaron la vida aquí, y he crecido con ellas junto con mis primos, viviendo unos muy cerca de otros durante mucho tiempo. En los años 80 mas o menos vinimos definitivamente a vivir al barrio. Después de vivir once años fuera de aquí, la importancia que ha supuesto para mi esta conexión con Madrid, ha hecho que mi inquietud por investigar la vida de este barrio desde su creación hasta ahora sea muy importante, para darle el valor que tiene dentro de la vida de la ciudad de Madrid, y lo que significa para muchos de nosotros Arganzuela. Ha sido mi reconexión de nuevo con mi ciudad a nivel emocional después de mucho tiempo. Siento que es algo importante que debo hacer y esta ha sido una buena excusa, para crear ese documento que me ayude a empezar con ese trabajo de investigación histórica del barrio, pero sobre todo de las historias de los vecinos que pasaron, y están pasando actualmente junto con su desarrollo urbanístico.

    This summary tries to open a line of research on my experiences in the neighborhood where I live, Arganzuela. Citizens on participatory processes that have emerged lately as new ways of generating city and in response to a clear process of gentrification in this neighborhood. This has been the neighborhood of my family since my grandparents came to work in the 50s with Renfe, being my mother very young. The family’s stories have been very vivid ones regarding how life developed here, and I've grown up with them along with my cousins. We have been living very near one another for a long time. At the end of the 80’s or so finally we came to live in the neighborhood. After living eleven years abroad the importance of these facts mean a lot for me as this is my connection with Madrid. My concern to investigate the life of this neighborhood since its creation so far is very important and also for giving the value that this neighborhood has within the life of the city of Madrid, and what it means for many of us Arganzuela. It has been my reconnection with my city again at emotional level after a long time. I feel it's something important that I do have to do and this abstract has been a good excuse to create this document which helps me start with this historical research of the neighborhood, but especially the stories of neighbors who had happened and they are currently happening along with its urban development.
