El trabajo pretende analizar el significado de la creatividad en nuestras sociedades. Se centra en el nuevo imaginario de la creatividad y en el ethos creativo asociado con él. En sociología y en filosofía la creatividad ha sido considerada más como una posibilidad que como un hecho social. Los trabajos de C. Castoriadis, S. Eisenstadt y H. Joas son expresión de ello. Pero la reflexión de A. Reckwitz revela un aspecto relevante de lo creativo en el presente: se ha convertido en realidad institucional y en fuente de normalidad. Su valor de cambio y transformación social ha perdido importancia. Define la normalidad en las biografías individuales y en las instituciones. Todas ellas deben ser originales como condición de su supervivencia. La economía, la ciencia, el arte, la cultura, la identidad incluyen la creatividad como símbolo transversal de la sociedad moderna. La conclusión de esta descripción sería que la creatividad ha cambiado su significado social y que eso introduce nuevos desafíos en el debate social.

The paper intends to analyze the meaning of the creativity in our societies. It centers on the new imaginary of the creativity and on the creative ethos associated with it. In sociology and philosophy the creativity has been considered more as a possibility than a social fact. The contributions of S.Eisenstadt, H. Joas and C. Castoriadis are expression of it. But the reflection of A. Reckwitz reveals other relevant aspect of the creativity in the present: it has become institutional reality and the source of normality. Its value of social change and transformation has lost importance. It defines the normality in the individual biographies and in the institutions. They must be original as condition of their survival. The economy, science, art, culture, identity include the creativity as transversal symbol of modern society. The conclusion of this description would be that the creativity has changed its social meaning and it introduces new challenges in the social debate.
