    Tomando como punto de partida los análisis de Foucault, el objetivo en este trabajo es ilustrar, a través de la actividad literaria de Hervé Guibert como diario de un enfermo de SIDA, el proceder de la “mirada médica” en la objetivación de la enfermedad. El proceso de objetivación del SIDA como enfermedad se convierte en todo un paradigma para analizar, desde una perspectiva bioética y biopolítica. Permitiendo entrar en cuestiones, tales como: la relación del médico/paciente deshumana e instrumental; la objetivación y estigmatización del cuerpo homosexual y el pánico social que sobreviene.

    Taking Foucault’s analyses as starting point, the objective of this work is to illustrate, through the literary activity of Hervé Guibert with his diary as an AIDS patient, the process of the “medical gaze” in the objectification of the disease. The process of objectification of the AIDS as disease turns into a paradigm worthy of analyse, from bioethics and biopolitics perspective. Approach allows us to enter in questions, such as: the inhuman and instrumental relationship of the doctor /patient, the objectification and stigma of the homosexual body and the social panic occurs.
