Architectural form is a mystery from the moment of designing until its moment in history. Here, we reflect on its nature through the work of three important figures: Loos, Mies and Lewerentz. We address the logic of function, technique and material with the aim of revealing the condition of architectural form: a piece of architecture emerges autonomously when the architect pays careful attention to its dictates. This way, what has come to be known as the manifestation of architecture occurs naturally.
