    In NICU, skin-to-skin is the only care entirely dedicated to the parent-infant interaction, usually practiced from birth. The present paper compares the innovative "Supported Diagonal Flexion" positioning to the usual one where the baby is positioned vertically on the mother's chest, in her clothes, with the hypothesis that the innovative positioning is more likely to favor a better vocal scaffolding from the mother. The results show that from the very first minutes of the very first skin-to-skin, extreme premature babies are able to vocalize, and that mothers in Supported Diagonal Flexion offer from the start a denser and more musical vocal envelope. This result supports the immediate contribution of this new positioning from to early communication

    En service de réanimation néonatale, le peau à peau est le seul soin entièrement dédié à la relation parent bébé, couramment réalisé dès la naissance. Le présent article compare l’installation novatrice en « Flexion diagonale soutenue » à l’installation usuelle où le bébé est placé verticalement entre les 2 seins de la mère, dans ses vêtements, avec l’hypothèse que l’installation novatrice est davantage propice à un maternage vocal de qualité. Les résultats étayent que dès les toutes premières minutes du tout premier peau à peau, des grands prématurés sont en capacité de vocaliser, et que les mères en Flexion diagonale soutenue (FDS) proposent d’emblée une enveloppe sonore plus dense et plus musicale. Ce résultat est en faveur de l’apport immédiat de cette nouvelle installation à la communication précoce.
