Resumen de Use of two-phase loop thermosyphons for thermoelectric refrigeration: experiment and analysis

J.S. Lee, S.H. Rhi, C.N. Kim, Y. Lee

  • Reported are the results of an experimental and analytical (simulation) study on a thermoelectric refrigeration system employing two two-phase loop thermosyphons. The experimental results show that a heat transfer rates of up to about 29 W/°C m2 (the area based on the outside heat transfer area of the condenser sections) or about 5400 W/°C m2 (the area based on the heat transfer area of the Peltier element) at the average air temperature of the refrigerator of −4.6 °C, with an ambient outside air temperature of 25 °C, can be attainable under the forced convection heat transfer at the finned evaporator and condenser sections.
