    Este estudio es el resultado de la restauración de piezas pertenecientes a las excavaciones visigodas de Carpio de Tajo, Boadilla de Arriba y Castiltierra.

    En todas ellas se ha constatado la presencia de un escaso número de fíbulas trilaminares de grandes dimensiones con refuerzos posteriores, que se catalogan invariablemente como «restos». Su extrema fragilidad es debida tanto al metal de las placas recortadas realizadas en aleación de plata como a su grosor, en torno a 1-2 mm.

    This study is the result of the conservation works of several objects proceeding from the visigoth excavations of Carpio de Tajo, Boadilla de Arriba and Castiltierra.

    The presence of a small number of large bow brooches with back reinforcements, invariably categorized as «remnants», has been confirmed in all these sites. Their extreme fragility is due both to the nature of the metal (silver alloy) and the thickness (around 1-2 mm) of the cutout plates used in their construction.
