Resumen de Reseña sobre el Museo Arqueológico de La Gomera (Islas Canarias)

El presente texto hace un breve recorrido por el Museo Arqueológico de La Gomera (Islas Canarias). Este Museo, por ser uno de los primeros en la isla, tiene unas condiciones especiales de implantación que se nombran, así como sus datos de funcionamiento, lugar donde se ubica y descripción general del mismo. Se explican los principios del Museo partiendo de las dificultades con las que nace, además del rol del Servicio de Patrimonio Histórico respecto al mismo. Se expone la naturaleza del discurso del Museo, algunos rasgos destacables de la exposición estable y su relación con la identidad del visitante. La temática del MAG también se trata de forma somera, especificándose el contenido de cada sala. Por último se hace un pequeño repaso a la colección custodiada en el Museo así como a los visitantes por edad, sexo y procedencia.

This paper makes a brief tour through the Museo Arqueológico de La Gomera (Canary Islands). This museum, being one of the first on the island, has special conditions for its establishment that are appointed along with its operating data, it’s location and a general description of it. The principles of the Museum are explained based on its intrinsic difficulties besides the role of the Heritage Service regarding the equal. At the same time, the nature of the museum´s discourse, some remarkable features of the exhibition and its relationship with the visitor’s identity are also exposed. The theme of the MAG is briefly treated specifying the contents of each room. Finally, this document provides a concise overlook at the collection kept in the museum as well as its visitors by age, sex and origin.
