  El Museo de sitio, gestionado por el Ayuntamiento de Zaragoza, fue inaugurado en el año 2000. Alberga un conjunto monumental, fechado entre finales del siglo I a. C. y el siglo I d. C., que daba continuidad al trazado de los pórticos del foro, perfilando su límite septentrional, en paralelo a la orilla del río Ebro. El puerto de Caesaraugusta ocuparía gran parte de la orilla derecha de la ciudad, en una zona de aguas tranquilas recta y resguardada, una vez pasado el puente romano, convirtiéndose en el más importante enclave redistribuidor de mercancías en el centro del valle del Ebro. Forma parte de la llamada Ruta de Caesaraugusta, un itinerario que engloba los edificios públicos más importantes de la ciudad, como son el foro, el puerto fluvial, las termas y el teatro.

  The site Museum opened in 2000, and it is managed by the local administration. The structures remaining from this sector of the forum, which date from between the end of the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD, are the arches a spectacular façade oriented toward the river, which lead onto a vestibule and the flight of steps that joined the port docks and the forum square. The port of Caesaraugusta occupied most of the right bank of the city along a straight and protected stretch of quiet waters after the Roman Bridge. The port became the most important supplying point in the centre of the Ebro valley. The museum is a part of the so-called Caesaraugusta Route, an itinerary to discover the most relevant public buildings of the Roman city: Forum, River Port, Public Baths and Theatre.
