    El Museo de Huesca es una institución científica y cultural que conserva, expone, investiga y difunde las colecciones que custodia del patrimonio arqueológico y artístico de Huesca y su provincia. De titularidad estatal, dependiente del Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte, y gestión transferida a la Comunidad Autónoma de Aragón, es la cabeza visible de la política museística del Gobierno de Aragón en la provincia. Institución con vocación de permanencia y de apertura pública de sus colecciones, que difunde el patrimonio de la provincia a través de la exposición de sus bienes, mediante actividades didácticas y trasladando sus fondos, noticias y novedades a su página web. Sus principales objetivos son: ser un centro de referencia de la cultura de Huesca y su provincia, haciéndola llegar de forma accesible y transparente a todo el público desde el principio de la universalidad de la cultura. Asimismo, pretende ser un centro eficaz en la conservación del patrimonio material que acoge, para estar abierto a los investigadores y a la sociedad en general.

    The Museo de Huesca is a scientific and cultural institution whose main mission is to curate, display, research and share its own collections to the wider public. This institution represents the archaeological and artistic heritage from Huesca and the whole province. The Museum, owned by the estate, integrated in the Ministry of Culture but effectively managed by the Regional Government of Aragon is the leading provincial institution on museums related matters. Intended to be permanent and open to the public, the institution spreads the cultural heritage through its exhibitions and educational projects, including a web-based resourcecentre, where information on the museum’s research work and projects is regularly updated. The main objectives of our museum are being a reference point for cultural issues related to Huesca and its province and to make our collections accessible to the public, through userfriendly and transparent tools, based on the principle of universal access to culture. Furthermore, the museum aims to be a hub for heritage conservation for researchers and the wider public in general.
