Resumen de Anthropologie des microbes

This article discusses the program launched by Bruno Latour in The Pasteurization of France (1984), starting from two sciences that question its assumptions : immunology, defined as a study of signals between sekf and non-self, and the analysis of the microbiome, ailing to produce a genetic map of microbes within an organism. The author proposes to develop the program of an anthropology of licrobes that integrates these two domains into a general anthropology of norms and levels of existence straing from the opposition between self and non-self.

Cet article discute le programme lancé par Bruno Latour dans Les Microbes : guerre et paix (1984), à partir de deux sciences qui en questionnent les présupposés : l’immunologie, définie comme étude des signaux entre le soi et le non-soi, et l’analyse du microbiome, visant à faire la carte génétique de l’ensemble des microbes à l’intérieur d’un organisme. Il propose de prolonger le programme d’une anthropologie des microbes en intégrant ces deux domaines dans une anthropologie générale des normes et des niveaux d’existence à partir de l’opposition entre le soi et le non-soi.
