    Existen muchos tipos de laseres terapeuticos en la actualidad que resultan interesantes desde el punto de vista sanitario y la podologia no es ajena a ello. Por eso conocer a fondo su forma de actuar es de vital importancia para su uso. Este articulo pretende revisar y de­tallar las variables que pueden influenciar en los tratamientos laser, asi como aclarar con­ceptos para que la aplicaci6n del laser en la podologia sea una herramienta mas de la que pueda disponer el profesional pod61ogo para dar soluci6n a diferentes patologias del pie que muchas veces son recurrentes o complicadas de tratar.

    El hecho de profundizar en el conocimiento de los parametros que son variables en el laser nos deja claro que las diferentes caracteristicas y antecedentes del paciente y la patologia que este presente van determinar la elecci6n de dichos parametros, por lo que los proto­colos de tratamiento nunca deben ser ni estandarizados ni cerrados

    Nowadays, there are many types of therapeutic lasers that are interesting from the point of view of health, and podiatry is no stranger to this. For that reason, having full knowledge of its ways of acting becomes crucial for its proper use. This article aims to look through and specify the variables that can influence laser treatments, as well as to clarify concepts, so that the ap­plication of the laser in podiatry is one more tool than the professional podiatrist can be provi­ded with to solve different pathologies of the foot which are often recurrent or complicated to treat.

    The fact of deepening the knowledge of the variable parameters in the laser makes it clear that depending on the characteristics and antecedents of the patient, and the pathology showed will determine the choice of these parameters, and thus, treatment protocols should never be standardized or closed.
