    ¿En un texto literario hay elementos que pueden imposibilitar la traducción? La hipótesis de partida es que los elementos culturales más propios de la cultura del texto original (culturemas), si se presentan con una frecuenciaelevada, pueden llevar a una intraducibilidad del texto mismo. Apoyándose en las reflexiones teóricas que se han ido desarrollando a partir de los años 80, el artículo pretende averiguar la veracidad de la hipótesis a través del análisis de la novela Romanticismo de Manuel Longares en la combinación lingüística entre el español y el italiano.

    Are there any elements that may preclude the translation of a literary text? The hypothesis is that if the most typical elements of the culture (culturemes) of the original text occur at a high frequency, they can lead to the untranslatability of the text itself. Based on theoretical considerations that have been developed from the 80, the article wants to prove the above mentioned hypothesis through the analysis of a possible translation from Spanish into Italian of Manuel Longares’ novel Romanticismo.
