Resumen de Paradoxos do arquivo em "Nove noites": entre a verdade e a ficção

This article aims to analyze, in the light of contemporary theories and historiography, how the archive is fictionalized in the novel "Nove noites". Taking as a method a form of analysis that investigates not only the topic of the text, but also its form, we found that the archive´s unstable form emerged in the romance is itself reflected in the work´s immanence. From this central problem, underlying issues were analyzed, such as the limits of reality representation by the fictional text, the deconstruction of the concept of historical and documentary truth and the questioning of the notion of temporality. Finally, we conclude that portrayed archive of "Nove noites" causes confusion to the narrator-novelist-journalist, creating a paradoxical effect – incorporated by the narrative structure – in which various aspects of its documents can either be truthful or fallacious.

Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar como o arquivo, à luz de teorias contemporâneas da literatura e da historiografia, é ficcionalizado no romance "Nove noites". Tomando como método uma forma de análise que investiga não só a temática do texto, como também a sua forma, constatamos que a forma instável do arquivo suscitado pelo referido romance reflete na própria imanência da obra. A partir desse problema central, foram analisadas questões subjacentes, como os limites da representação da realidade pelo texto ficcional, a desconstrução do conceito de verdade histórica e documental e a problematização da noção de temporalidade. Por fim, concluímos que o arquivo dramatizado em "Nove Noites" proporciona um relativo caos ao narrador-ficcionista-jornalista, gerando um efeito paradoxal ‑ incorporado pela própria tessitura narrativa ‑, em que diversos aspectos de seus documentos podem tanto ser verídicos como falaciosos.
