En un momento de gran confusión sobre cómo actuar con los niños con disforia de género, este texto pretende contribuir a una reflexión serena sobre los derechos de estos niños desde la perspectiva de la Convención de los Derechos del Niño de 1989. Buscar el interés superior del niño en cada decisión que debe adoptarse y, por tanto, evaluar los distintos derechos implicados, atender a los criterios legales que facilitan esa evaluación y ponderar los elementos que concurren en la situación no sólo resulta conveniente sino que se trata de un imperativo que nace del propio texto convencional.

In a time of great confusion about how to deal with children with gender dysphoria, this text aims to contribute to a calm reflection on the rights of these children from the perspective of the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child. To look for the best interests of the child in each decision to be taken, and therefore to evaluate the different rights involved, to take into account the legal criteria that facilitate that evaluation and to weigh the elements that are involved in the situation is not only convenient but an imperative that arises from the conventional text.
