    Con objeto de paliar la importante congestión existente en los principales corredores europeos, la Unión Europea impulsó el uso del transporte intermodal a través del Short Sea Shipping, cuyo uso ha llevado a la necesidad de buscar combustibles alternativos al tradicional para reducir las emisiones a la atmósfera, tales como el gas natural licuado. En este artículo se pretende realizar un estudio de las relaciones entre variables de transporte y comercio internacional y variables incidentes en la elección del uso del gas natural licuado para Short Sea Shipping mediante un análisis con redes de creencia también llamadas redes bayesianas.

    In order to alleviate the significant congestion in the main European corridors, the European Union promoted the use of intermodal transport through Short Sea Shipping, whose use has led to the need to search for alternative fuels to the traditional one to reduce emissions to the atmosphere, such as liquefied natural gas. This paper aims to analyze relationships between transport and international trade variables and variables involved in the choice as liquefied natural gas use in Short Sea Shipping. Belief networks, called Bayesian networks, are used.
