    • She also noted that there is a "wide variation" in recycling activity between European countries, with Germany leading the field, producing around 215,000 tpa secondary refractory materials, approximately one third of the European total.

      "Rising raw material prices are also moving refractory producers towards looking for inexpensive alternatives and utilising recycled materials ensures products are manufactured more cost-effectively, without compromising on refractory performance," he added.

      "It is our strategy to continue to focus and invest in recycling and refractory processing," he said. "We expect to grow our market share in Europe with our proven recycling concept and our continuous collaboration with many international refractory companies."
