  Ahmadou Kourouma est un écrivain ivoirien très célèbre pour la singularité de ses œuvres littéraires qui mettent en relief certains per- sonnages masculins atypiques, qui critiquent ouvertement la colonisation française de la Ré- publique d’Ebène (la Côte d’Ivoire), les autori- tés africaines qui contribuèrent à l’installation des colons et leur emboitèrent le pas à la pro- clamation de l ́indépendance, ou qui relatent subjectivement les violences et barbaries des guerres tribales contemporaines en Afrique oc- cidentale... Parallèlement à ces démonstrations de forces masculines dans les œuvres de Kou- rouma, apparaissent des personnages féminins qui se démarquent des hommes, soit par leur beauté, leur condition sociale, les agressions et autres abus dont elles sont victimes..., soit simplement parce qu ́elles sont du sexe opposé. Dans cet article qui se propose plus descriptif qu ́analytique, il s ́agira d ́identi er, de classer et d ́analyser les types de femmes présents dans deux de ces œuvres, ainsi que leur image.

  Ahmadou Kourouma is a very famous Ivorian writer among others reasons for the particularity of its literary works which point out certain atypical male characters criticising openly French colonisation of the Republic of Ebony (Ivory Coast), African authorities which contributed to the settlement of the colonists and took over them in the independence, or telling subjectively the violence, atrocities and inhumanities of the contemporary tribal wars in West Africa (Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast…). At the same time as these male demonstrations of force, in his works we have as well feminine characters as shine or for their beauty, their know-how, their social condition, the attacks and other abuses they are subject…, or simply because they are of the opposite sex.

  In this article that proposes more descriptive than analytics, it will be about identifying, classifying and analyzing the types and the image of women present in two of his works.
