    Tras situar La femme de ma vie en el contexto literario de la escritora quebequense Francine Noël, se analiza en esta obra híbrida de  cción autobiográ ca la conformación de la identidad de la autora a través de la relación con la  - gura de la madre. Frente a la idealización de la madre y en oposición a ella, la hija podrá constituirse en tanto que sujeto como queda de mani esto en la obra. Es importante que las mujeres sigan potenciando “écrire au féminin”, es decir que continúen la auto-representación de sí mismas como yo individual y social. Al escribir, las mujeres toman autoría, crean nue- vas estéticas literarias y rompen barreras. La re- lación madre-hija es el eje de la construcción de la identidad femenina y de la identidad del yo como queda patente en la obra: son las madres las que crean la identidad de sus hijas.

    After contextualizing Francine Noël’s fctionalized hybrid autobiography La femme de ma vie, this article analyzes the construction of identity of the author through her relationship with her mother. Idealizing mothers and rejecting them is how women build their own identities as subjects, as we will see in the novel. It is important that women continue the movement “écrire au féminin” that is to continue representing themselves in literature in order to construct their gendered roles. When women write, they can push literary boundaries, they take authorship and in doing so they create new forms of expression to explore their subjectivity and selfidentity.

    The mother-daughter relationship is the key to female identity: mothers are the ones who create the identity of their daughters.
