    El presente estudio analiza la reforma llevada a cabo por Justiniano sobre el régimen de restitución de la dote en caso de disolución del matrimonio. Reforma que se construye a partir de la regulación anterior, tomando de ella lo que se cree conveniente mantener mientras se deja fuera lo que se entiende que ya no es útil, siendo la idea rectora la de beneficiar y proteger los intereses de la mujer.

    This study analyzes the reform carried out by Justinian about the restitution of the dowry in case of dissolution of the marriage. This reform was constructed from the previous regulation, taking of what is considered suitable to maintain, while it is left out what it is already not useful, being the governing idea to protect the interest of the woman.
