Resumen de Mass Flow in The Wave Energy Converters with Differential Pressure Storage Tanks

Ramón Guillermo Borrás Formoso, Ramón Ferreiro García, Felipe Antelo González

  • Among the devices for sea energy use in order to obtain power to be poured to the net, the presentarticle discusses the performing of the oscillating water column wave energy converters (OWC) ofthe type of dierential pressure storage tanks with (DPST) to be mounted on the coast (shoreline) oroshore (nearshore), as an alternative of improvement over conventional designs. In the operation ofthese kinds of converters, it is required the constancy of the mass flow rate of internal circulation asaverage value over a reduced interval (dependent on the size of the tanks), therefore it is studied theconversion performance dependence for each of the tanks according to the pressure in each of them, concluding that it is possible to work in a wide range of performance while maintaining the performancetransformation close to maximum.
