Resumen de Análise da análise: quadrado semiótico e gráfico tensivo

In this article we intend to show some of the reasons that support Greimas’ position on Philosophy, that is, his refusal to enter the endless discussion about the origin of meaning. He was not interested, for exemple, in explaining the ultimate meaning of the syntactic structures that he created, whether they were inherent in the object or embedded in the cognitive apparatus of the subject, but, starting from epistemological assumptions “few and as general as possible”, he was interested in proceeding with the formulation of strategies of minimum structuring through signification. Then, we aim to show that the semiotic square assumes a relevant role as a strategy of manipulation of meaning via signification and that the tensive graph is schematically an extension to the exclusive issue of the term complex.

Neste artigo pretendemos mostrar algumas das razões que sustentam a tomada de posição de Greimas frente à Filosofia, isto é, sua recusa a entrar na discussão sem fim acerca da origem do sentido. Não lhe interessava explicar, por exemplo, o sentido último das estruturas sintáticas que criava, se inerentes ao objeto ou incrustradas no aparelho cognitivo do sujeito, mas, partindo de pressupostos epistemológicos “pouco numerosos e tão gerais quanto possíveis”, proceder à formulação de estratégias de estruturação mínima do sentido via significação. Em seguida, buscamos demonstrar que o quadrado semiótico assume papel relevante como estratégia de manipulação do sentido via significação e que o gráfico tensivo constitui-se esquematicamente um seu prolongamento, voltado para a questão exclusiva do termo complexo.
