    A reflexão sobre este tema centra-se nos novos desafios colocados às Regiões Ultraperiféricas da União Europeia (UE), em particular à ultraperiferia portuguesa. Procuraremos analisar as estratégias adoptadas por Portugal no âmbito do processo negocial com a UE com vista à plena aplicação do artigo 349.º do Tratado de Funcionamento da União Europeia.

    Reflection on this subject focuses on the new challenges facing the outermost regions of the European Union (EU), in particular the outermost regions of Portugal. We will look at the strategies adopted by Portugal in the framework of the negotiating process with the EU for the full implementation of Article 349 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
