Resumen de Arte rupestre e pensamento religioso na Pré-história

This article tries to analyze the religious thought of people without writing, using rock art images.
This type of iconography transmits, as P. Taçon and C. Chippindale wrote (1998), images from ancient worlds, such as ancient minds observed them, thus establishing a certain communion between those minds and the researcher. It is therefore a privileged field for the study of topics such as the religious thought of societies without writing, be they very early in time or more recent as the San or the Chumash Indians.
In this article, the author presents some cases of engravings/paintings where it becomes possible to learn a little of the prehistoric beliefs with religious character, as for example the solar cult, which spread across Europe from the III Millennium BC; the phenomenology related to comets and eclipses and its implication in the minds of the observers; the belief in a life in the Otherworld.

O presente artigo tenta analisar o pensamento religioso de povos sem escrita, com recurso a imagens de arte rupestre. Este tipo de iconografia transmite, como escreveram P. Taçon e C. Chippindale (1998) imagens de mundos antigos, tal como antigas mentes as observaram, estabelecendo, assim, uma certa comunhão entre essas mentes e o investigador. Trata-se, portanto, de um campo privilegiado para o estudo de temas como o pensamento religioso das sociedades sem escrita, sejam elas muito recuadas no tempo ou mais recentes como os bosquímanos San ou os índios Chumash.
Neste artigo, o autor apresenta alguns casos de gravuras/pinturas rupestres onde se torna possível conhecer um pouco das crenças pré-históricas com carácter religioso, como por exemplo o culto solar, que se difundiu por toda a Europa a partir do III milénio a.C.; a fenomenologia relativa a cometas e eclipses e sua implicação nas mentes dos observadores; a crença numa vida além-túmulo.
