The author takes a look at the archives of Carlo Emilio Gadda, Gianna Manzini, Luigi Meneghello and Lalla Romano. In her opinion the study of how they came into being and of the places chosen for their conservation may be helpful not only for investigating various aspects of the life of the single authors and their respective working practices but also for understanding the image of themselves that they wished to hand down to posterity.

L’Autrice prende in considerazione gli archivi di Carlo Emilio Gadda, di Gianna Manzini, di Luigi Meneghello e di Lalla Romano. A suo parere, prestare attenzione ai modi di formazione di questa tipologia di archivi, nonché ai luoghi scelti per la relativa conservazione, può essere utile non solo per indagare su alcuni aspetti di vita dei singoli autori e sui rispettivi cantieri di lavoro, ma anche per conoscere quale immagine di sé hanno voluto lasciare ai posteri
